Hips Animated Parent Targeting
Although the Object named ws##_Hips acts as the default parent of the Automatron Rig, with Animated parenting, you can smoothly blend the Automatron Rig to be parented by one of five other Hip objects. The reason for having this group of blendable parent Hip objects, is to give you the ability to smoothly change the parent system of the rig.
Let's say you want your Bot to walk over a Unicycle, get on, ride a few yards, get off and climb aboard a motorbike and zoom off. You would do this by using the HipTargets, linking the targets to the bike seats and then animate the weights of the Hip Targets.
The interface for this animation task is the same as for the IK targets for the Arms and Legs.
Target Selection Menu
The Dropdown menu next to the SnapIK button. This will bring the picked target into focus.
This will move and rotate the target object currently picked in the Target Selection Menu to the current transform of the pelvis.
Pressing this button will give control to the hip target object that is currently displayed in the Target Selection Menu. Control means, this target object will have a keyed weight of 100 while all others will get a value of 0.
For your convenience, pressing the select button will unhide and select the target object that is currently displayed in the Target Selection Menu.
Weight value spinner controls the Pos/Rot constraint weights of the target object that is currently displayed in the IK Target Selection Menu.
For your convenience, pressing the select button will determine which Hip target object has the highest weight value, and thus is most in control of your Hip system and focus that object into the Target Selection Menu.
